How to choose

Age first

Ages 9–12 is the main shelf. Games marked 8+ are written a step easier and 10+ a step harder. The Christmas escape room for ages 9–12 says ages 6–8 can join with a grown-up solving alongside. Ages 4–7 games use picture clues, so children who can't read yet can play.

Occasion

Birthday and sleepover games are built around a party group. Christmas and Thanksgiving games carry the holiday in the story. Anytime games fit a rainy day, a family game night or a class reward.

Venue and players

Escape rooms and mysteries are played around a table as one team. Treasure hunts hide clues around the house. For a class, pick a game marked for teams or a big player count and print one set per team.

Setup

Print the game, then follow the host guide that comes with it. The Christmas escape room for kids takes about 15 minutes to set up: print, cut the labels and hint cards, fill and hide 11 envelopes.
